Let's Go

Go Language Workshop

About

At LiveChat, we’ve been developing backend services since 2002. Throughout 17 years we've experimented with tech stack a lot, and we’ve had several ups and downs. We've used C++, Node.js, Erlang and other languages. So far Go seems to be the most efficient, effective and satisfying to use.

We want to share our first-hand experience in a practical way during the one-day workshop with live-coding parts. We will focus on application speed and performance issues, based on our best practices and techniques.

The Idea Behind

Over a hundred million messages monthly and two billions annually — a giant scale of our platform challenges us to deal with performance and demand for the highest uptime. We need to work smart, fast and under the pressure of time.

How are we able to manage billions of messages, complex real-time logic and enormous chat archives? Which performance tools help us with the dynamic environment and why? What happens under the LiveChat hood? These are just a few topics that we want to raise during our workshop.
