At Text, we believe in delivering exceptional customer experiences powered by reliability, precision, and seamless functionality. With millions of users worldwide, our Growth team is at the forefront of optimizing onboarding, engagement, and subscription workflows. To ensure our products meet the highest quality standards, we are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer who can champion robust testing practices, and play a key role in driving a quality-first culture.

This role is perfect for someone who excels in test automation, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is passionate about working cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional product.

You’ll be working with:

  • Dawid (Product Manager & Team Leader): Guides product strategy and priorities, aligning business, design, and development to deliver impactful changes.

  • Michał (Tech Lead): Oversees technical initiatives, guides engineering decisions, and fosters a collaborative, high-quality code culture across the team.

  • Development Team (Dobrochna, Jakub, Michał & Maciej): A dynamic group of developers delivering impactful features, with a sharp focus on quality.

In this role, you’ll be part of a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team where open, candid communication and collaboration are key. Together, we drive growth, iterate quickly, and deliver features that bring real value to our users and the business.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead the testing process: Plan comprehensive test cases before releases, review them collaboratively with the team, and proactively guide the team in identifying potential issues and risks.

  • Automate testing: Design and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Cypress, with a focus on integration and component tests.

  • API testing: Develop and implement automated API tests to ensure backend reliability and functionality.

  • Optimize CI/CD workflows: Use GitHub Actions to maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, enabling seamless and efficient deployments.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with API teams, frontend developers, and stakeholders to ensure quality at every stage of the development lifecycle.

  • Foster a quality-first culture: Conduct workshops or training sessions to improve testing practices, share knowledge, and encourage proactive testing across the team.

  • Evaluate product usability: Provide constructive feedback, not only on code but also on overall product quality and usability.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience as an Automation Tester, with a strong focus on delivering quality in fast-paced environments.

  • Are proficient with Playwright and/or Cypress for integration and component testing.

  • Bring solid experience in API testing and automated test implementation.

  • Are experienced in using GitHub Actions, with the ability to maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Possess strong leadership in the testing process, including planning, reviewing, and identifying risks collaboratively with the team.

  • Are experienced in knowledge-sharing and fostering a quality-driven mindset through workshops and team training.

  • Can provide valuable, constructive feedback on both code and product usability to ensure an exceptional user experience.

How we work

We have implemented a hybrid workplace, in which our team in Wrocław and nearby (up to 50 km), follows a 3/2 model: three days in the office to foster creativity, teamwork, and social interaction, and two days working from home.

If you’re based outside of Wrocław, you'll work in the office for three days each month to maintain valuable face-to-face connections, while continuing to contribute significantly to product development remotely.

Benefits

We don’t want you to worry about all the basic benefits - like a Multisport card, private health care, or a home office equipment budget.

What we really want you to feel and what we believe in is that the real benefits come from the culture we’ve built.

With a hybrid work model (whether it's three days per week or three days per month, depending on your location), unlimited paid days off and sick days policy, an environment focused on outcomes instead of worked hours, and people dedicated to their work, you’ll find a workplace where you can thrive.

And here’s the icing on the cake: you’ll have the opportunity to work with the makers behind all Text products: LiveChat, ChatBot, HelpDesk, KnowledgeBase, OpenWidget.

Are you feeling like this might be a great place to consider working for? We feel it too ;) Join us and apply.
