Customer’s cart
Say a customer starts a chat on a product page. They’ve browsed your store for a while and already have a few items in their cart. Thanks to Customer Insight, you can immediately see the contents and the total value of that customer’s cart.
You can quickly determine if the customer is, for example, a VIP, what type of products they are interested in, and what other complementary products you could recommend.
You will find the cart information in the Details column on the right-hand side of the chat feed. Select Cart content to display the list of items:
Orders and refunds
Your customer came to you with a complaint that their package hadn’t arrived yet. They shared the order number and demanded immediate answers. Without switching your browser tab, you immediately saw what the issue was. A few seconds later, the customer received an explanation and, amused by the speed of your response, rated the chat as good.
Achieve the same results thanks to the Orders tab located on the Details column.
If you need to check a refund status, you’ll find it under the Refunds tab as well:
Product Cards
Thanks to the Orders and Customer’s cart features, you already know what your customer bought in the past and what secrets their cart holds at the moment.
Now is the time to put that information to work and offer promo bundles and complimentary items to win their hearts. Attract them with visually pleasing and interactive Product Cards.
Product Cards are interactive product recommendations consisting of an image, a description, and a button that’s linked to a specific product page in your Shopify store. They are automatically imported from your store along with out-of-stock statuses and price labels.
Here’s how to send Product Cards on chat:
Sales Tracker
Sales Tracker is a tracking tool that tells you exactly which chat brought you how much revenue. Every time a chatting customer completes a purchase, the sales tracker picks it up and links the chat to the sale’s value.
Moreover, it lets you filter chat archives by successful sales and gathers the data in a dedicated report section, where you can track your overall growth.
This means you can finally count those chat-influenced sales and understand how much they boost your revenue!
Sales Tracker is available in Team, Business, and Enterprise pricing plans. See the full pricing here.
How it works
The rule is simple. If a customer starts a chat and ends up buying products on your website during or after the chat, you get a tracked sale. It gets displayed as a green cart icon in your chat details (you can filter archives by sales).
And, most importantly, it is calculated towards your ecommerce report.
By default, your sales tracker measures order values dynamically. This means that whenever a customer makes a purchase on your website, the sales tracker captures the final order value and links it to the chat. This is the way to go if you offer products with different prices.
Purchases are linked with chats up to 30 days after the chat has ended. If your store offers a fixed price for all purchases, if you don’t want to track specific monetary values, or if you want to change the time frame of up to how long after concluding a chat a sale gets linked to it, you can modify your sales tracker to handle that. Configure your sales tracker manually according to this tutorial. After that, select it from the list of available trackers in step 4.
